The Queensland Reds Under-15s have headed to Sydney to take on their NSW counterparts today in the final match of their two-game series for 2024.

The young Reds will be guided from No.10 by James Smith, who produced some composed and positive play in last weekend’s 27-19 loss in Brisbane.

The Reds led 7-0 early and were still scrapping in the final 90 seconds with the last try of the game but have worked hard on polishing areas of their game for a more complete showing.

“The boys will definitely be better for that run,” coach Sean Graham said.

“Our conversion rate was pretty good when we got into the Waratahs quarter. More field position is something we’ll be working at.”
